Delete your Settlio account

Applies to the Settlio app (com.settlio.settlio) · Last updated 28 July 2026

You can permanently delete your Settlio account and its associated data at any time. There is no undo, and support cannot restore a deleted account.

Delete it yourself, in the app

  1. Open Settlio and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
  3. Read what will be removed, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete My Account.
You must settle up first. If you still owe money to someone, or someone still owes you, deletion is blocked and the app will show you exactly who. This protects the people you split expenses with from having a balance disappear. Settle those balances, then try again.

Can't access the app?

If you have lost access to your device or cannot sign in, email settlio@anshguptaa.in from the email address on your Settlio account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What happens to your data

Deleted permanently

  • Name, email address and phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Saved UPI IDs
  • Friends list
  • AI assistant conversations
  • Notification settings and registered devices
  • Your sign-in credentials

Kept, anonymously

  • Expenses and settlements in groups you shared with other people
  • Shown as "Deleted user", with no way to link them back to you

Shared expense records are kept because they are also other people's financial history — deleting them would silently change the balances of everyone else in the group. Groups where you were the only remaining member are deleted entirely, along with everything in them.

Deletion of your personal data takes effect immediately. Residual copies may persist in encrypted infrastructure backups for up to 30 days before they age out.
